As stated on this thread a few times already, he is ahead in his passing but you can't do much with a good arm if you are not comfortable in the pocket and fall victim to pressure. It will come with time and remember he has never taken a snap in college. Only can improve from here but I would rather have a shot at controlling the offense rather than waiting until Lee overcomes his flaws. Do not want to ruin his confidence from the get go as well by just throwing him out there and letting him learn on the fly as the starter.

Also, why would anyone trust an ESPN Blue Ribbon Preview over local news in a situation like this? ESPN is mostly just guessing. I doubt they had a beat writer at spring practice or at 7-on-7s.

Because our Athletic Department gives ESPN way more access than we give to anyone else due to the amount of publicity they can generate.

Russell didn't develop quickly either. Lee will develop quicker on the field than on the bench.

    Not necessarily true.

Struggling can sometimes be a progression killer for a guy who has never struggled in his entire life.

While I agree and that is true, in cases like this, it is not.

Les and the gang do not want the rest of the country to know much of anything about LSU's QB race.

The less people know, the less they can prepare.

It's a moot point because by the time LSU plays a "real" game, they will be three weeks into the season, but that is just how the coaches think.

I know the quote. It was during spring practice but before the spring game.

Stuff changed in the spring game.
