    Much to the chagrin of many a Tennessee fans:lsup:, our beloved Sylvia Fowles was named the SEC Women's basketball player of the year. Congrats. Big Syl, we love you and will miss you sorely. Thank you for all you did and the great attitude and sportsmanship you have shown. You represent our University well!

    it's important to note Van won SEC Coach of the Year, Syl also won SEC Defensive Player of the Year and Allison Hightower won Sixth Woman of the Year.
