Jordy alluded to some "big" change coming to the men's basketball program. Anyone have any insight as to what he is alluding to?

I've no idea, but with 4 acclaimed recruits and an SEC-proven transfer joining the team next year, we could actually have some depth....that would be a "big change."

Ott and Ricky Blanton talking about it now. There are rumors that Boise State is going to make a play to lure Trent Johnson back to Idaho. He's a Boise State alum but as far as I can tell that's the big appeal. He's making $1.2 million here and I can't see Boise being able to afford him. Now, they did throw out Oregon which is looking for a new coach and just built a $200 million arena on dollars donated by Phil Knight of Nike.

It would truly suck to lose Trent to anyone. It would be embarassing to lose him to BSU. Oregon is a move I could somewhat understand.

Would you still find it embarrassing if Aleva hired up? This is why I think this will be interesting.

Losing a coach to a mid-major school that has no basketball tradition is embarrassing.

I don't know if we could hire up from Johnson. I think he is a really top flight guy, and he had me excited about the program.

If this pans out we may be looking back fondly on this year's 2-win SEC season. :dis:

i understand the sentiment, but we can only go up from here. no matter if bozo the clown coaches next season's team, we'll do better than 2 in the SEC just on the talent we didn't have this season.

fwiw, i also don't want to lose CTJ.
