What the hell is "lightly outraged"?

I'm stil convinced people misunderstand what is going on. The gov doesn't have this data, it's just kept so they can get it if they need to---and there is oversight by all three branches. They are targeting foreign communications. This is a domestic war you dipshits! Got to make sacrifices you pansies, suck it up.

It is an oxymoron describing the varying opinions over this. That is what it is. Some people either value the right to privacy as sacred and what the govt is doing is outrageous and others see this as a necessary means to and end. The fact that both opinions cross the political spectrum shows that this is not a political issue but one of basic human rights. I was surprised when I read this news but I have no problems with it as it is. But what if this is just the tip of the iceberg?

The Boston Marathon bombing shows that with all of this info at the government's hands, they don't do enough with it.

Who are you calling dipshits and pansies? I don't see anyone here showing much moral outrage.

I wasn't necessarily referring to Obama. I was implying that if you end up with a majority in the legislative branch and the judicial branch to back them both up. There isn't much to stop the president from pushing an agenda. Good or bad. Say a democrat controlled house and senate with a liberal majority on the Supreme Court. Or vice versa.

This needs to be studied in more detail but on the surface it is very troubling. It is also true that this is a development that past administrations are a responsible for as the present. I will say that President Obama being a professor of constitutional law at a top law school should be held to a higher standard. He should know better (all you libs that think W was an idiot can't hold him as responsible as Barry LOL).

I am amazed at why this is an issue.

    A) the general American offers up more information on Facebook than gathered by the US
    B) and this is the most important thing, *** If you are following the law, you have ZERO TO FEAR ***

I guess one day the gumment is gonna claim our wives on the first night of marriage and take our first born male to serve in their forces too.

    Anyway,

    Geaux Tigers.
