Of course they are. Republicans and Democrats both exist too call the other team hypocrits while they take hypocritical stances. It was only 6 or 7 years ago when the Republicans were defending the Bush domestic wiretaps, and smart people were saying we really shouldn't defend a power we wouldn't be comfortable with a Democrat possessing. Well look what happened. Fuck those guys.

IMHO. Both democrats and republican politicians are cut from the same cloth. They are in it for the power and prestige. They sling mud at each other over shit both parties are guilty of. They keep the left and right going at each others throats as a diversion while they are shoving laws down out throats that only serve their best interest.

True, the only difference is which faction of money and corruption they back.

This is all legal. It is the public that Obama has to worry about. In the past month, his administration has shat on his opposition, reporters, and every American with a phone or internet. Obama is nothing like he sold himself to be back in 2004 when he entered the scene.

It didn't end well for Bush. I don't think it will end well for Obama.

I'm shocked at the lack of outrage on this board with the news of Govt surveillance.

thread of the title is wrong. no indication of "listening" at least wrt the guardian story.

Legality has nothing to do with it. People are lightly outraged, slightly disillusioned, and fractionally perturbed at the scope of this data mining.

Bo gonna Bo. Making him president was like making the manager at Waffle House, the CEO of Walmart. Not only is he making Carter look good. Now he's making Nixon look great.

CS I think the majority of us just don't have the fight anymore. Plus they are probably reading this board and know where we are....
