I honestly believe the voters want to send one and only one from the SEC. If LSU wins out, we go, if we slip, Bama gets a shot at Georgia, and they go, if we slip, and then Bama slips against Georgia, we go. I think that is why Bama is at 2. But if Bama is sitting at home on 12-3-11 while LSU, OKST, and Va Tech are all playing, Bama misses the boat If LSU is sitting at home on 12-3-11 and Bama wins against Georgia, LSU misses the boat JUST MHO
I agree. I think due to the computers loving Okie St, and their shot at impressing voters when they play Chokelahoma for the Big 12 championship (not championship game though) they still have a very legitimate chance. I also don't think people want to see a rematch.
I honestly think that if LSU wins out, Bama stays home. Period. I'm not even sure that Bama goes if LSU loses the SEC CG. Possible, but completely unjusts. It kinda destroys the whole incentive to be the best. Bama, losing in regular season then getting to just sit home and wait for the call, is about as unjust as it gets. If LSU beats Arky, the season is over, Bama gets the Sugar Bowl. That is how it should work out.
The season ended with them both being co champions FSU was #2 when UVa beat them and they became the first team to beat FSU since they entered the ACC in 1992. The year they beat them was 1995. Pretty big if one would ask me. But that's just me. EDIT: they also beat UGA in the Peach Bowl that year.....
The lines on these two teams for this week's games are as follows: Stanford - 4 over Notre Dame VT -1 over VA Stanford don't belong where they are and I want to see this turd out of the BCS punchbowl and out the Top 10 VT ... Beamer ball :rolleye33: whatever
To counter that, it's also likely that if LSU wins Friday, we go to BCSNG even with a loss to Georgia...as long as the loss isn't a bad one...but I don't see that happening either. Steamroll em both and leave no doubts.
Actually LSU is essentially a lock to go to the BCS CG with a win over Arkansas. We're essentially looking at having to lose to both Arkansas and Georgia, not to be able to go to the BCS CG.
