Big 12 better than sec??

I don't think many people would argue that the SEC is better at the top. But to be fair to the Big 12, eliminate LSU and Bama, and matchup the 2 conferences starting with the bottom feeders.

Kentucky vs. Kansas SEC
Ole Miss vs. Iowa State Big 12
Tennessee vs. Texas Tech Big 12
Miss St vs Texas A&M Big 12
Vandy vs Mizzou Big 12
Florida vs. Baylor Big 12
Auburn vs. Texas Big 12
S. Carolina vs. KSU SEC
Georgia vs. Oklahoma Big 12
Arkansas vs. Oklahoma State Big 12

 

The ship will set things straight once again. Another sec win for all the marbles and the rest of the country will be green with envy once again.

 

So you take the top two teams out of the SEC and then compare them? That makes no sense. You'd have to remove OU and OSU then. And even so I think Auburn, Georgia, Florida are winners here.

 

I think y'all are severely over estimating Texas. They have not come close to beating a ranked (or even decent) team all year. OU blow them out and OSU and Mizzou beat them by double digits. The closet thing would be the 17-16 squeaker against the mighty BYU Cougars. Not to mention their leading passer has twice as many INTs to TDs.

 

This is a useless debate until bowl season, and you have SEC vs Big12. How much better would Florida be if they played in the Big 12 this year, How about Auburn or Miss St...

Understood. But we are comparing conferences here, top to bottom. If you are going to remove the SEC's bottom two in one comparision, you need to remove the SEC's top two when looking at the bottom of the conferences.

I'm an SEC guy, and the SEC is hands down better at the top. The Big 12 might be better from the middle on down.
