The #1 defense is always better than the top offense.

Gotta give tamu some sec love in their battle with the wanna be #1 gooners! Sec....sec.....sec!

Chanting sec for tamu sorta makes me a little sick but they are family now. Kinda like that in-law that no one talks to at the family parties.

The conference talk makes for a nice debate. In the end, there is only one conference going for its 6th BCS Championship in a row.

Conference Power rankings only exist in the minds of fans and sportswriters. They are virtually impossible to quantify. Having said that, the SEC is having kind of a "down" year.

This all reminds me of the talk that Ohio State would easily handle Florida and LSU in their respective BCS games.

yep it's a typicall media love fest....the media loves them some high powered offences that score alot of points.....that's why they ALWAYS love the Big 12, Pac 10....but everytime the two tops of these conferences meet.....it's always the defense that rises to the challenge and wins MOST of the games.......SEC plays the best defense in the nation.....a good defense can be boring to the media.....but usually wins the games.

Can someone explain how an lsu team that averages almost 40 points and scored over 40 points aginst top ooc teams can be considered by the media to not have a high powered offense? We score as much as other teams that are called great offensive titans. We could have scored more on every team this year had miles not called off the dogs and played non starters. Why doesn't lsu get credit for a high powered offense? Hangover from the last two years with jj starting and not passing well?
