Bid to end Afghan war funding hits GOP roadblock

Well we could have saved $100B a year.

    And a side note:

Until those crazy religious folks on that side of the world learn to live in peace, its better to spend money which keeps all the killing in their back yard, as opposed to spending no money and having the killing be in our front yard.

I would like to see the US leave that region of the world for good and stop wasting money there, but how does it get done without them attacking us again?

Us being there doesn't make anyone any safer. In fact it does the opposite over the long-term.

Good thing $100B is a laughable amount and not something serious.

Cutting funding of a war effort is irresponsible and puts American lives at risk. The only way to end a war is to win it.

Extremely laughable. A pathetic attempt of a "cut".

Riiiiiiiggght. Does anyone still believe this type of talk?

You can't even define "win" and neither can the govt.

Apparently everyone but you. Cutting war funding further puts us in harm way, because you're not getting us what we need to fight this war. I'd rather pull out then have somebody cut funding in order to force a pullout.

Of course I don't want to see a pullout until things are under control.

Spending money does not equal safety.

    This war has no objective.
