C'mon people you're better than this. we lose or look bad winning then we're the worst team ever. we win convincingly, and all of a sudden we're talking about beating bama (in the same way we were talking about beating florida) and rematching with florida in atlanta and maybe playing for a national championship. chris rock: "well you got your GED, now you can go to college..." SLOW DOWN. i understand NEGATIGERS are gonna do their thing along with the SUNSHINE PUMPERS but man, memories are short and perspective is hard to find. it was nice to look good in a win over an SEC opponent and i know bama and fla struggled in wins last weekend, but let's stay focused on tulane and working on the things we need to work on (cough, running the ball) and get thru this week with no injuries. then we can talk about beating bama and how much better miles is than saban and how overrated bama is and how we're going to nat'l championship. that is unless we lose in which case we should fire les. that sound about right?
I think its more "bama looked like crap against tenn" than anything we did this weekend that gives me hope to win the west.
well, to be fair, i called for a victory @ Bama less than 12 hours after we lost to Florida. but it ain't about pumping sunshine. its about seeing a very flawed Bama offense yeah, their defense and special teams are very good, but so is ours. should be a close, low scoring game. we have as good a shot as anyone else in the country.
I think more then anything is people are pleased to see the Meerkat Offense go the way of a sorority girl's virginity...not quiet completely gone but gone!!! I know that what I am happy about!!!! And I have said that if the play calling gets fixed and they let the athletes make the plays this team can beat anyone out there. If we play offense even 25% of what we played against Auburn against Florida we are undefeated and #1 in the country!
I don't see any reason we should not be optimistic. I don't think there is a truly dominant team in all of college football this year. So, it might as well be us representing the SEC as champs as either of the other two front-runners. How's that for a little perspective? Hmmm?
Ive said all along that LSU has the talent to beat anyone out there this year. Which is why Id been saying that LSU was walking a tighrope. With a great team being on one side, or imploding like last year. I was very glad to see the coaches finally let JJ throw the ball. I think that, more than anything gave him the confidence he needed in himself. How can a coach expect him to believe in himself to make a play if they keep telling him you our guy but dont trust him? Plus Shepard finally was implemented at other positions. If the OL can improve LSU has a great shot at winning out and playing for the title. No matter what happens I just wanted to see improvements, sat night I finally saw a lot of improvement.
that pretty much sums it up right there. We know we can beat anyone in the NCAA, our worst enemy is ourselves. I'm witcha Stace.
I think fans go from one extreme to the other. I have had my doubts about LSU from even before the year started... it has looked down right ugly at times. With that said they are 6-1 and have everything still to play for. Will they continue to win ugly, I would say sometime in the next 4-5 weeks the offense is going to have to start clicking or I think the ugly wins will be hard to come by. To me I want what I wanted at the beginning of the year... improvement from week to week, if LSU is going to have a chance to win the SEC then I think they need to improve a little bit each week. What fans are doing is looking at the last thing that happened either good or bad and magnifying it.... the team has basically played the same all year, the fans are all over the map.
