I don't know the facts of the situation, but if it is true that the last 4 games the Hornets lost were the only 4 games they didn't have bj, then it does make someone say "humm" a little bit. Pargo is garbage. He is a playoff team's killer. 1-2 good games, then 1-2 horrible games (like tonight). Good thing CP will play 45 mins a night come playoff time.
one game won't spell doom for the hornets. the rox are on an incredible streak and the bees were in the way. i'm not worried about losing bobby jackson. there's too much chemistry on this team to let this affect them.
I'm writing off last night's game (after lots of alcohol and a rigged video roulette wheel at Harrahs)... Houston was making literally everything they put up and New Orleans couldn't even hit dunks...and Houston was only held to 100....luckily we have two more games NO vs HOU to judge and who knows...maybe a playoof series....
i'm not calling you out specifically, but I really hate how Houston's defense gets disrespected. it's not a coincidence that every game the opponent is cold against them.
I'm not saying Houston's defense is bad. They're the 4th best defense in the NBA PPG wise. I mean when you have a 10 foot whatever Chinese man clogging up the middle it's going to be hard to score. But you could have had a High School team out there and the Hornets wouldn't have been shooting much better. They were missing wide open dunks and wide open jumpers...not typical Hornets... It's not very often you're going to see the Hornets shoot 40% from the field, 18% from 3, and 56% from the FT line. ...Oh and Mutombo pisses me off...tell him to check in the game or sit down... ...that is all....
Houston's D has always been anywhere from good to very good....but their O has been suspect....now it looks like they are a complete team
Rockets dismantle the Bulls. 12 in a row. Total team win offensively for Houston. McGrady: 24 pts 8 assists Scola: 17 B. Jackson 14 (2-3 from 3) Alston: 13 Ming: 12 Battier: 11 Landry: 6 Bobby Jackson is a stud. In a 13 point win, the team was +21 with him on the floor. The next closest +- for Houston was +13, so he was arguably our MVP tonight (if you believe in the +- numbers, which I do).
13 in a row. We picked apart Washington. McGrady had just a modest 11, but Alston, Scola, Battier, HEad, Landry, etc... stepped it up. 1-0 without Yao. This team can defend. If they can consistently get 90-95 a game, the beat will keep on going on and on.
I'm not thinking title, but I think we can make it to rd 2. I really do. They statistically play much better on d without Yao. Landry, Scola, Jackson, Head and Alston will each average 3-4 more a game in Yao's absense to make up the 20 pts he gets.
