Hell, it doesnt really matter, neither of those teams can really challenge the top teams except GSW, they have a perfect team for playoff basketball in the west. Run and gun, no defense, basketball. If have a halfcourt game with alot of slow guys you will be in trouble against GSW, just like Dallas, who played no defense that series. The playoffs is all about matchups and making adjustments. Dallas doesnt do neither of those well, I look for their early exit.
okay. Denver wins and wins handily if you consider they spotted GS the 1st quarter. When it comes to 1 game situations in the NBA, stars win games, not irrelevant home/road records. And Denver has stars. When the going got tough, Iverson and Anthony silenced the crowd, scoring over 50 combined points. Chris Paul better have been watching with the notebook close by, because that Denver team will seriously challenge them, if not beat them. (I predict Nuggets in 7). It really was kinda silly on all levels to think GS would win this game. Denver has the 2 best overall players (Iverson and Anthony) the 2 best defensive players (Iverson and Camby) and the better role players (Bench: Denver 34 GS: 7)
I watched parts of the 2nd and 3rd quarter and counted at least a half dozen misses right at the basket. They did that same shyt against the Lakers when they played those back to back games. I have no clue what the hell gets into them sometimes. Disappointing effort on their parts. They don't belong in the playoffs. Good to see Iverson get in. One of my favorite players.
Golden State's downfall had nothing to do with missing shots around the basket. It was the 25-30 horrible shots they took/take every game from 20 feet away from the basket. Despite his stat line, Stephen Jackson is a killer in the long run b/c of stuff like that.
the parts I watched, which is when the game got away from them had them constantly going inside and missing gimmies.
Suns/Rockets was tonight and my Rockets waxxed them for their 5th straight win. We rested up after the streak, but are healthy now and getting back to our winning ways.
Goodluck tonight, BHelm. No Alston and Battier for Houston. If we even somewhat compete tonight, I feel great about the playoff series.
Injuries or sitting out for the playoffs? I was worried this game would be a game where they rested players for the playoffs. Not sure what the Jazz are going to do since there is still a slim chance we can move up. But I think they are happy with the current matchups. I wanted an all out game but this will do. Good luck and I will check back at halftime.
edit: Battier in the lineup after missing a few games. Alston out. neither is injured bad. They are just resting.
