My point about Alston was in reference to you saying he's had a really good NBA career playing PG (I think you said 10 years), when in fact we never heard of the dude past 4 or 5 years ago. And he has only become really significant in the past year to 2 years at PG, was simply a 3 point specialist when he first came up.

Rockets tie the Spurs (sooner than I even thought they would).

Now onto the Lakers. Bring em on.

I worry about the Bobcats game Fri.

If we look ahead to LA, we may have a rude awakening. The Cats have won 5 of 6 and have beaten some good teams in the process.

"The Rockets didn't play anybody in their 20 game win streak."

Okay, so this bugs me and I will tell you why.

The Lakers haven't played "anybody" since they got Gasol, but yet people still call them top-notch NBA Title locks.

I like the Lakers as much as anybody, but:

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/powerranking

    Rockets season SOS: .506
    Lakers season SOS: .505

Not a big gap there (and you wouldn't expect there to be, because everyone in the West plays the same schedule).

    BUT:

Rockets SOS in past 25 games: .488
Lakers SOS in past 25 games: .426

In their past 25 games, the Lakers have played an average of the the New Jersey Nets (41% win %)

In the past 25 games, the Rox have played an average of the Wizards (49% win %).

Neither is great, but .488 and .426 is a big gap.

So point being, if someone says the Rockets aren't legit because of their not playing anyone, then you have to say the same about the Lakers, because they have played a weaker schedule and have lost 5-6 games in the process.

Rant Over. I wasn't directing it to anyone here. Just toward America in general, who voted 70-30 saying the Rockets aren't a threat to win the NBA Title.

Rockets win #21 in a row. Second longest streak of all time, all by themselves.

Harris with a solid game off the bench with 11 pts and 3 Rebs.

Is that the D-league guy you were raving about, clair?

And possibly Ray Allen vs Boston (injured tonite...ankle).

Rockets: without Yao Ming and now Landry for the past few games. I would say it's evened out.

Great teams play well when they lose 22 pts and 10 boards per game.

    Average teams crumble.

Don't tell me that we're lucky when we lost Yao and Landry, arguably our 2 best bigs, and Francis, our best reserve guard.

And ISL, yes, Harris is the D-League guy. He outplayed the Dickens out of Landry in preseason, but didn't make the team, because Landry had a guaranteed contract.

    Harris is the real deal.

Lakers/Rockets for the 1-seed on Sunday.

I was at tonight game, will be at Sun's game, will be at Tues' Celtics game, then will come home to see Wed's Hornets game. :)
