no Carl Landry for the Rox tonight. Minor injury. This will make this win the most difficult of any in the streak. We signed Mike Harris from our D-League team and he is no slouche. In preseason, he was easily more impressive than Landry and was nearly Landry's down-fall in not making the roster.
Rox up 13 at half. The offensive machine that is houston has 59 pts in the 1st half. The Hornets are choosing to be stupid and double McGrady and as a result, the shooters have 9 1st half threes. Someday, somehow teams will realize if you double him, he will make you pay. or as the Hornets announcer said: "If you single him, he scores. If you double him, the shooters score." McGrady has 22 pts himself, though, so maybe they are just screwed either way.
I moved Houston up to #2 in my Western Conference power poll. I am looking pretty smart right about now. Can this team be stopped?
When the role guys hit shots, no. Because no one... NO ONE can guard T-Mac 1-1 on the perimeter. so you have to double him. And unlike a lot of other star players, he is a great passer, so he makes you pay. Long way to go in this one, although it made my week to just see Mutumbo throw Crybaby Chandler's hook shot into the stands. That dude is garbage. He just catches a few alley-oops a game and people think he is some hero. If it weren't for Chris Paul, he wouldn't score ever.
