Don't want to decline a bowl bid of any kind - it allows more coaching time for the team, which, I think, we can all agree they need. :geaux:
How long have you been a Tiger fan? EVERY home game is a social event. It's always been that way. It is infused in the culture of LSU football, so don't think this "social event" just started. You want to be assed up because left at halftime at the Troy game, so be it. But there are plenty of people who were in those stands in 1994, in the pouring rain, watching LSU lose by a point. The entire reason this message board exists is because of the passion of LSU fans.
you haven't read any of my replies, that's ok though. i know what you're saying, the best thing about the ole miss game this year was that all the people who sit around me were actually there. and we were social. but too many times in the past years the students left at half time, win or lose. too many times regular fans do the same thing. but when the students are leaving just because... that means they're not there to watch football, they're there to see their bfs and gfs and then gtfo. we need people who care about the games to go to the games. and that's different than going there just to see and be seen.
I agree they need more coaching time but not with the CURRENT staff. Can we all agree they have gotten progressively worse under this coaching staff. I am torn as to whether I want to see a bowl game. Let this loss absorb. I would like to see JJ one more time before spring training.
Now we're talking. I only got to make 3 games this year. I'm planning on at least 4-5 next year if the schedule falls right.
