I think Georgia is the better team all around right now. USC a close second. LSU has been injured just like USC was early since the AU game, or LSU would really be the top team. Injuries really play a big part down the stretch.
The only way there will ever be a playoff is to be able to use the lower tier bowls as the first/second round games and move up from there................the average fan will either have to show up or watch it on TV, just like BB. BTW, they won't have ANY problems selling tics to any game at any level. I think a FW Bowl (Armed Forces), game with Ohio State and Boise would sell out in DFW in about 2 hours, there would be fans in the stands that wouldn't even know what states the schools were in.:geaux:
Mizzou is the Best team today, come Sat OU will hurt Mizzou. I don't think they have a chance against Bob Stoops. But then again, OU was beaten by CU. KU kinda looked like the best team, but they weren't playing anyone. USC is playing well now, But Oregon Flat worked them. I think the NC game was already played. UF vs LSU, when they were both healthy...UF is a monster, even with a broken Tebow wing. Sorry, just isn't a team out there that is Dominant.
But that would take alot of what makes the game so great out of it - The true fans. The way the bowls are set up now you have a much broader revenue base. What it boils down to is Bowls bring alot of outside money into a town, not just from ticket sales, but through travel,dining,hotels,etc...
I agree. However, to claim LSU and UF as dominant when healthy while at the same time saying that USC got worked by Oregon when we were also NOT healthy is not a heads up comparison. Heck the final score was 24-17 and the final drive by USC to tie the score was ended when backup QB Mark Sanchez threw an interception. Dennis Dixon completed 16 of 25 passes for just 157 yards (average is 270 per game) for Oregon (7-1, 4-1), which was fifth in the BCS standings this week. The Ducks, who came into the game ranked second nationally in total offense, managed only 339 yards -- more than 200 below their average -- against the Trojans' third-ranked defense. But it was turnovers, including a fumble recovery and a pair of interceptions, that gave Oregon the advantage over Southern California (6-2, 3-2). USC worked themselves.
I don't see the problem with allowing same conference teams playing for the NC. If LSU and FLA both deserved it.. why not? :insane:
I'd have to go with WV right now, Missouri got that big "1" painted on "their" jerseys now...lets see how well they handle the heat. :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
