How does the average fan afford to travel and watch their team at three road bowl venue games? Providing their team makes it to the championship game.
Good point. Question for our members- What happens when one or two top seeds in the tournament get upset? We'd be right back to last Friday, just a different tune to the same beat.
i don't know of too many college towns that could accommodate 7 other teams and their fan bases at the same time edit: or did i misunderstand? each game is played at the site of the top seed of that game?
I think: 2 teams, 1 game for each venue. An 8 team tourney would be 3 weeks long and 7 games total. Each game would get the same exposure as a big-time match-up already does.
I think the first rounds of the playoffs would have to be played at home stadiums. The winners advancing to travel to the BCS bowls; the loser to the Consolation bowls. Then a plus one game.
Best team *right now*? I think it's clearly USC. The offense looks good, now that Booty is 100% and the OL has settled down. I'll give Mizzou a puncher's chance at that designation should they beat OU. Chase Daniels really runs that offense to near-perfection.
