Wow, what a great game that would be. I think USC would score on Florida's defense though. Florida would score but not as much as USC.

USC is stout for sure. I'll give my #1 to WVU. I watched a few games.. and they've absolutely 'clicked' recently.

No quality opponents.. but with the current BCS that matters next to nothing.

Depth is a huge factor in being a 'real' #1 team. If you lose a player.. you shouldn't lose the game.

If USC played their schedule you would say USC is the best team. WV plays nobody.

While the teams they played are better than most think, you are correct that their schedule is not as difficult as others. But at the same time they went out and still won the games, most in dominating fashion.

Yup...USC. They are playing they best right now. The way they handled AZ ST on Thanksgiving was pretty clear proof they have all the tools. That defense is awesome.

USC has few 'quality' wins also.
Cal was revealed as a fraud. USC has 1 quality win. ASU,

WVU has a good offense and a good defense.

They smoked a decent-at-best Rutgers, beat an okay Cincy, and absolutely destroyed a solid uConn.

uConn hadn't given up 30 points all season.

For me it all comes down to.. I like LSUs chances more against USC than against WVU.

Lost to S Florida. But that Cincy win was bigger than most think.

I go with WV. USC has an ugly loss.
