If you had to pick a team for #1 right now, who would it be?

I've watched our tigers play every week and they are always #1 in my heart. However, they have only played like the #1 team in the country for a couple of games this season.

With that being said, I can't really single out one other team in the country that has played like the #1 team either.

    ... or can I?

One team has played very well when their starting quarterback has been healthy. If not for a fluke injury to his hand, that team would likely be undefeated right now.

Seeing that team play now, they are the only ones who look like a #1 team. Considering they have done it against quality opponents. Unlike West Virginia, Ohio State, Missouri, etc.

The pre-season voters likely got it right this year: USC #1

Who would you say is #1?

Of their wins, which ones would you consider to be against quality opponents?

yep. WVa is pretty stout right now. They are hot right when it matters.

WOW, what a good question. Definitely not West Virginia. If USC would face WV right now, USC would roll.

USC probably is the best team in the Country.

I think Florida is better than USC.

West Virginia has great timing with that blowout of UConn. WVU is only a couple weeks from beating a 6 loss Louisville team by only 6 points at home though. The week after that, they only beat Cincy by 5.

Of their losses, which would you consider to be "poor" opponents.

USC would probably beat anyone at this point. They have some key injured people back and no one can block their front four.

Oklahoma (with a healthy QB) would probably be my #2. I expect them to beat Mizzou.

Now...if you give us few weeks to get Dorsey, Beckwith, and Steltz healthy, welcome back Ricky Jean from the academic doghouse (I think he can play in the SECCG?) get Trindon back to light-speed strength and Flynn some time to rest his shoulder, I think the sheer athleticsm overcomes the lack of gameplanning issues that Pellini/Miles have and we beat anyone come January.
