I like the idea of the higher seed hosting for the first 3 rounds. I would love (and please don't take this as me hating on the SEC) some warmer climate schools have to come to Columbus and play a playoff game. The weather today in Columbus is a warm 27 degrees with wind. Also let me ask you LSU fans I know you killed Vtech but when you knew they were coming to visit did the game have something extra in the air? I know you guys and gals are always pumped for you home games but playing a Major conference team that is pretty good make it more exciting. I know when we played Texas a few years it waited for that game for a few years. And knowing we have USC,Oklahoma,Vtech,Miami coming up in the next few years makes them games that mych more fun.
Didn't W Kentucky become the 120th team this season? I don't think any proposal to significantly alter conference structures is realistic enough to consider. There is no need to force Notre Dame to join a conference or to either eliminate/add a conference championship game. These things can be realistically worked around. I am firmly of the belief that the regular season presents enough data to eliminate most teams. I do find your third team from a conference rule interesting, though I try to promote diversity in a playoff for a variety of reasons.
Hey Buckeye Pup, That's one of my favorite aspects of the Wetzel plan, too. To see if the warm-climate schools could hack it in the frost. I'm not so sure. I didn't go to the VTech @ LSU game, but I'm sure it was dynamite. If you ever get the chance to visit Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night, please do so. There is nothing like it. And I'm glad the Buckeyes are scheduling tougher nonconference games in the coming years. I knew about the home-and-home w/USC in '08 and '09. When are y'all playing Oklahoma, Miami, and VTech?
Miami in 2010,2011 hopfully they will be dcent again by then California 2012,2013 Cincinnati 2012,2014 If their current coach stays then they will good. Vtech 2014,2015 Oklahoma 2016,2017
