    If you wnat to stay Uptown, I would check out Fat Harry's or the Milian

    I am pretty much Uptown-raised. Fat Harry's is nice, but it is tight in there. Frankly, I'd recommend Cooter Brown's in the Riverbend, but I am partial to the area. For the BCSNCG against OU, we drove down to the Riverbend and started hitting the spots as we worked our way downtown by hopping on and off the streetcar. Completely hammered by the time we got downtown and into the Dome for the game. One of the best days of my life. :thumb: It's a damned shame I am going to miss it this time. :cry:

    Another option close to the Dome is the Hatt tailgate. I meet a few guys from the crew this week and they said it will be $20 for all you can eat and a big screen to watch the game. It will be on the corner or Poydras and Loyola.

    Will they let us 70's vintage LSU grads into this deal or is it for the more recent grads???:geaux:

    In 2004 I did the same thing. The bars in the quarter were packed! My group of friends and I just walked around the quarter trying bar after bar until we found a place with room. Just grabbed some chairs and beer and watched. Every bar had the game on. I don't even remember the name of the place.

    I will be doing the exact same thing this year :wink:

    Well since I thought they were 2 different groups located on Poydras I am not following you. I was telling everyone what I heard at Walk-ons this week from the group throwing the party (HATT). I have also been on TF for a long time and most here know I have no ties to any of these tailgates and I am not a spammer. They see where I tailgate at games and where I stop by. And I for one will not be at any of these tailgates I mentioned but I am trying to help others looking for options to enjoy the game and to keep them informed about bogus advertising.:huh:

    However, you have posted numerous times about the crap at Ampersand and many on here have already labled you as a spammer. All they have to do is check the list of post you have and see everyone of them is about where to hang out and that Ampersand is mentioned in more than half of them and the other half is shooting down other options.

    Nice try but I would stop the reverse spamming if I were you.:wink: Spamming is not tolerated on TF, please check the rules page for further assistance.
