At this point, what team should move ahead of USC? Hell, half the teams in the top 10 haven't played a ranked team yet. Even A&M can only claim Sakerlina as a ranked opponent and it's clear Sakerlina was overrated. Down the road, I don't expect we will stay there. Saturday we only dressed 52 players against an experienced D. The lack of depth will become an issue in another month or so. Remind me again, what rule did Haden violate?
And you know that's a drop in the bucket, albeit a pathetic joke by commissioner scott. This has been a mountain out of a molehill. AD's are on the field frequently and I doubt they are silent. Take Barry Alvarez.....another member of the selection committee. Anyone here complain about this?
The "bush league" rule. That guy was sweating and his face was flushed. Was it a warm day in Palo Alto or is that guy a psycho. That was about as bush as a little league baseball game with parents charging out of the stands to argue with an umpire.
That is kinda bush league too, but not nearly as much as Haden charging out of the stands and running across the field, as if he had a better view than the officials. Maybe I just haven't noticed but I've never seen an AD on the sidelines yelling and berating an official.
He was? I don't see what you saw. Although he has been in hospital twice in the last few weeks and missed several events leading up to the opener for "health issues". And yes, it was warm in Palo Alto...high 70's to mid 80's. Hyperbole. I understand. However, if you want to talk bush league, then let's discuss the play that started it all.
"Charging"? Lol. Here's what happened just in case you wondered.....Sarkisian was arguing the call (like ALL coaches do from time to time) and was not getting clarification from the refs. A member of the compliance staff requested Haden to come down so Sark wouldn't get ejected. In hindsight..... compliance was too quick to do so Sark should have let it go Haden should have stayed off the field and waited until after the game Both Sark and Haden have apologized and Haden gave himself a 2-game suspension. Good God, this doesn't happen anywhere else. And yes, you just haven't noticed. Most AD's are already on the sideline. Haden has had health issues and was not on the field at the time so his crossing the field was more obvious.
