I said Joe Addai because the question did not specify whether you thought the player was awesome at LSU or not. It only asked who the best player to come out of LSU was. That question definitely leans toward asking which player is the best NFL player to come out of LSU? I doubt he meant, which player was the best player to come out of LSU that is now working at a Krispy Kreme. But you never know...

Joe Addai is not a guy that would likely be mentioned as a top 10 LSU guy the last five years if we're just talking while at LSU. He was a great player, but known more as a team player. He was also banged up some too. He did save us a number of times his senior season. I mostly remember him carrying us to victory in THE SWAMP in the closing seconds. That was one of the most memorable road wins I can remember. He definitely wasn't a disappointment at LSU (I don't remember much hype around him either). He always seemed to deliver when called upon and he never got the ball enough to have huge numbers. But he always put up numbers when he played and you can see that from his averages. And for whoever called him fumblerooski, I don't think he fumbled once his junior and senior seasons. So I think that makes up for whatever fumbles he might have had early on.

But I was meaning since going to the pros. He has been awesome. And obviously, people thought he was pretty good at LSU because he went 1st round. At Indy, he has done everything and then some. He has exceeded all expectations and won a Superbowl.

While at LSU, Lavalais had the most dominant year I can ever remember one of our defensive guys having. Landry was probably the best from Freshman to Senior year. Clayton and Spears were also awesome while at LSU.

Still a little to early to predict, but I have a feeling if this same questions is asked in a couple of years, we will be saying Dewayne Bowe!

In response to the Krispy Kreme answer above. Who was the biggest waste of talent? Who did you think was going to make it big and threw it away or just plain could not hack it?

Gotta be Cecil Collins...I watched a replay about a month ago of one of the games when Faulk was hurt....that kid was absolutely amazing.

I can not argue with Jim Taylor but I like Jerry Stoval. Should have won the Heisman instead of Terry Baker. Went on to an outstanding career in the NFL. ( I know not as good as Taylor's but outstanding just the same.)
