I agree with you! He was one of my favorites growing up and plus lived in my neighborhood and had the best candy at Halloween!

New contract will take care of that.

    1. Nick Saban - 48-16, 1 championship
    2. Paul Dietzel - 46-24, 1 championship
    3. Charlie McClendon - 137-59
    4. Bernie Moore - 83-39
    5. Les Miles - 33-6
    6. Bill Arnsparger - 26-8
    7. Edgar Wingard - 17-3
    8. Biff Jones - 20-5
    9. Russ Cohen - 23-13
    10. Pat Dwyer 16-7

Les Miles moves up to #3 after January 7. In a couple of more seasons he would be pushing #1.

    Charlie MacClendon
    Paul Dietzel
    Nick Saban
    Les Miles
    Bernie Moore
    Bill Arnsparger

Les is moving up. Last year I would have had him behind Moore and Arnsparger.

I was gonna guess "Cholly Mac", if not, he was sure one of my personal favorites.

Charlie Mac is in a class by himself as far as loyalty, charactor, and the positive long lasting influence he had on the lives of his players.

Strictly on performance of the team on the field:

    1) Nick Saban
    2) Paul Dietzel
    3) Bernie Moore
    4) Les Miles
    5) Bill Arnsparger

If Les wins a NC he moves up to 2 in my book, since Bernie Moore didn't have any NC's and Dietzel has one, but Les has a much better winning percentage.

I think if he stays, he passes Nick in a year or so, and he could be the kind of coach in league with Charlie Mac for the positive influence on so many kids lives. JMO

In no particular order, Cholly Mac, Dietzel, Slick Nick (cough, cough), Les, & Arnsparger.
