So who do you guys think is the best freshman and best redshirt freshman so far this year?

    Who has the highest ceiling?

Who has dissapointed the most (not lived up to the hype thus far)?

Who are you most surprised by?

Has anybody paid much attention to Brockers? How many snaps has he gotten? I haven't really noticed him getting much PT.

Barrow & Muncie were both okay at LB, but we're clearly much better off with Baker back there. Those guys will be pretty good eventually, but they're too slow to react right now. Loston is good, but can be much better. Reid makes some nice tackles, but isn't quite ready to be out there full-time. He'll be a good one eventually.

I'd say the most dissappointing is definitely Michael Ford. We were all excited about him and he's nowhere to be found - being passed up by Alfred Blue, who I honestly thought might get switched to LB. Blue is definitely the biggest surprise to me.

I thought Ego Furgeson & Jakhari Gore would push for PT this year, but both look to redshirt. With Gore I think it's a matter of finding a position for him - not to mention he would be taking some of Russel Shepard's snaps. Ego may well get moved inside to DT, as he apparently hasn't been impressing anybody at DE.

Sam Montgomery & Tyrann Mathieu are tearing it up - definitely the best RS & true freshman.

Sam Montgomery and Tyrann Maitheu Im the most impressed by these two.

I am most surprised by Williford, he can run block with the best of them. I will add Mitch Joseph, he is a pretty good catching Tight end, better hands than Russell Shepard at this point.

Disappointed in JJ and Hurst, so far.

Brockers has been a space eater and in on alot of tackles especially last night from what I saw, he is a good one.

Mathieu & Blue have impressed me the most so far, but all the freshmen that are playing seem to be doing very well... I just don't understand what happened to Ford, there has got to be something that he is not doing that is keeping him on the sidelines? JJ is still a work in progress and seems to always do just enough to keep his job.. I'm pulling for LSU so I am pulling for JJ & Les to both do better.. Can't argue with 3-0 so far..

Would have a hard time picking one. So many who are truly impressive and bring it. Has to be Miles' best class yet.

Same here. After seeing Blue last night, I definitely would have red-shirted one of the two.

I would go with this sentiment.

The talent on this team seems endless. May be the best overall talent of any LSU team ever on the defensive side of the ball.

Answers in quote. I honestly did not see Blue being good enough to see PT this early, and certainly not in front of Ware and Ford.
