    The best I saw was the 79 Bama D. A case could be made for the 92 team. 79, mentally, though was tougher. They didn't just respond to a challenge, they retaliated.

    I hope I can play in this one. :)

    I submit the 1973 Ohio State defense that was part of a team that outscored its opponents 413-64 and only gave up 43 points in the regular season and then drilled USC in the Rose Bowl 42-21. Unfortuntely, a freaking 10-10 tied at #4 Michigan left the Buckeyes at 10-0-1 and Alabama earned the National title instead of Ohio State. :angry:

    04 LSU - held one of the most prolific offenses in modern college football history to 146 yards, half coming in the 4th quarter
    00 OU - did not give up any points to a vaunted FSU offense in winning the NC 13-2

    Man, thats a tough one. One of the Bammer teams for sure. Maybe 79? Hard to judge really.
