This is another "Tap wrong" post. OU beat three teams that were ranked during the regular season of '03; Texas, Okie State, and Mizzou (ranked 24th at game time.) USC had one. Your criteria only supports OU.
3 whole ranked teams? How many ranked teams did LSU 2011 beat? 8 sound about right? BTW, "Misery 2003" lost 5 games. Finished season unranked of course. If you want to use that to prop up a cupcake eating Oklahoma team, go ahead.
Are you familiar with the term non sequitur? If not, read. You brought the schedule in for OU in '03 trying to support your thought they didn't deserve to be in. The premise you brought to the table to support your notion was just used to support OU--to even a greater degree. It's another in a list of many when you've taken a stat and tried to conform it to what you think. And, like other cases, it doesn't hold water. OU has a cupcake schedule? USC even moreso. But, let's give the less deserving team the shot. Let's take Mizzou out if it makes you feel better. It still gives OU more wins over ranked teams--which was your whole premise (likely better said, "it was your hole--the one you dug and fell into.") Get this 2011 shit out of here. It has nothing to do with 2003.
One huh? 2003 USC: Beat #6 Auburn. You should remember them, they beat Bambi Shula & mangy Alabama. Beat #6 Washington State. So you lied. Oklahoma 2003 flamed out, got blown out by Kansas St. & got beat by LSU. USC 2003: beat 3 ranked teams that season & PAC 10 Champs & a share of the National Championship. Choklahoma beat 3 ranked teams that season. The Schoooners didn't even win the Big 12 Conference. (Your coach should like that..) Your right, 2011 LSU has nothing to do with 2003 Oklahoma. 2011 SEC Champion LSU is considered by the above post, on page 1, & the point of the entire thread, one of the Best teams ever not to win a NC. We beat everybody on our regular season schedule including your Mulligan Bama team. Even your crystal foosball that year got broken by a recruit. A mulligan trophy too. So you went off the rails again, trying to build up an Oklahoma team that is not on said list for many reasons.
I lied. You're going this way, are ya? Auburn wasn't ranked when they played. Auburn didn't play Washington State in '03. Auburn wasn't ranked at the end of the year.
I've already posted a picture of the schedule for '03. They beat one ranked team--#6 Washington State. Now you're trying to credit that win to Auburn. If you include their bowl game USC beat two ranked teams. This tune has changed. You used to be a staunch "BCS only" guy. One has nothing to do with the other. I'm not going to sit here and watch you try to placate your inner desire that LSU face a team that wasn't one of the best two in the nation so you could win another BCS. And this USC lost to an unranked team...now there's a comparison to '11 if you really, really want one.
Your "Pictures" are innacurate. I'll try the "Football for Dummies" way. Maybe you can learn..doubt it though.. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_USC_Trojans_football_team 8/30/03 #8 USC vs #6 Auburn 11/1/03 #3 USC vs #6 Washington State
Nope. You have me confused with @red55. The AP is the oldest, most respective poll in America. The BCS didn't work.
