Just my opinion....and you guys know I hope for the best for LSU most of the time......

    1) North Carolina....supposed to have a real good defense. (but is that SEC D?) Something like four or five possible first round picks. At this time of the year, the defense is usually ahead of the team's offense. Plus, they are usually as healthy as they will be all year. LSU has been known to start slowly on offense. I'm hoping for the Tigers, but it could easily go badly. It is in Atlanta....wish it was in Tiger Stadium. I see it either way.

    2) OK..Vandy is no Bama or Florida. However, they usually start the season pretty tough. They just do not have the players or depth to go deep into the season. They usually play tough at home, especially early. LSU had better be ready to play and not overconfident. I still see it LSU. Wish it was in Tiger Stadium again.

    3) MULLET has his group moving up. They gave LSU all they wanted last year with little talent. Their qb had an open rb with a blocker ahead of him but chose to try to be the hero with the sneak. I believe they will be improved. This one is in Tiger Stadium and I think the Tigers take it.

    4) Tiger Stadium.....West Virginia is supposed to be pretty good, I think. If LSU has taken care of business in the first three games, I think these visitors get a rude awakening to the SEC. If the Tigers lose to NC and get upset by either Vandy or MSU, they could very easily be in a let-down mood. This could be the starting point for something big or the top of the hill in preparation for a big down-hill slide. Either way, I say Tigers but either a narrow margin or totally lopsided.

    5) Tennessee in Tiger Stadium....Tenn. has too many problems and new leadership. No matter how the season has gone thus far, I say LSU beats them so bad that they "volunteer" to go home early.

    6) Florida at Florida.....I think their qb is going to be a good one. I don't really think they drop off much from last year. We can pull it out but a lot depends on JJ and the running game. The Tiger need time consuming drives and defense. But being truthful, I say Fla.

    7) McNeese State....don't even need Tiger Stadium. Just need LSU pride and a consistant offense. Party time. LSU.....

    8) Auburn at Auburn....should be a good one. Auburn has moved on past Tubberville. They look pretty good. LSU and Auburn have been winning home and home. Kind of looks like the trend might continue. Here's hoping Purple and Gold but thinking damn War Eagles....

    9) Alabama....at Tiger Stadium....would love to see a Tiger victory here more than any other game on the schedule. If the offense has manned up, it might be enough. Just having this many questions and not seeing anything really promising in the spring game.......I keep hearing JL is really pushing JJ. I don't know if that is good or bad. Is JL coming together or is JJ having troules.....would probably say Bama....maybe in OT again.

    10) UL Monroe....TS......should not even be on the schedule. but then again, ASK BAMA. Tigers in a breather.

    11) Ole Miss...TS....Rebs have to find a new qb..got some pretty decent rbs. Defensive line should to good. No telling LSU's spirits this late in the season. Tigers could be having one of their best years or worse by now. Nutt has topped Miles the last three years...two at Ole Miss. Although I remember some good days, it has been a hell of a long time since OM beat LSU three years in a row....don't think it will happen now...LSU but maybe pretty close.

    12) Arkansas in Little Rock......Tigers don't seem to play too well in LR. Mallet will be tough but will their offense be enough? Their defense would have trouble with a decent high school team......Tigers

Guess I'm looking at anywhere between 10-2 and 6-6. I'll lean closer to the 10-2 if LSU finds the pride they have always shown.

    May the "red" begin...

Florida has no less of the hip-hop generation in their locker room than LSU does, but nobody worked the rah-rah angle better than Tebow, and those guys ate that stuff up. People will always respond to effective leadership, in any situation.
