Ok, so they don't have burgers, but they have great sandwiches, has anyone heard if the Regginelli's in Lakeview is going to reopen? They were one of the first to gut their business after K, but last time I was there they had not done anything to rebuild.

What town is this in? A Chicken Fried Burger!?! This is something that could make me take a road trip. Or at least while the family is away next week, experiment on my own. I would need to work green chiles into it, but that would be easy enough.... YOU GET GREEN FOR MENTIONING THIS CONCEPT!!!!

I don't know about the Reginelli's in Lakeview, but the ones on Magazine and Citrus in Jefferson (across from the Coca Cola bottler) are both open.

I knew the one on magazine was open, and I hope that eventually the Lakeview location will reopen. That was one of the things I loved about the location of our house. Just a few blocks to walk to lunch or dinner at some great places.

I have heard the old Coffee and Co location on Harrison is going to be a Starbucks. I would prefer PJ's but Starbucks will be nice. I hope that rumor is true.

Oops. Sorry about hijacking the thread.

Back to burgers. Yep, Lakeview Harbor was great! Another place within walking distance!

How about the Ground Patti? They were in NO, Mandeville, and Laf. Had good burgers a few years back.

Is Bud's Broiler still in NO? The reg. burger was nothing to write home about, but they made one with chilli and cheddar cheese that was very good, with a little ketchup added :) .

There are still a few Ground Pat'I's around the NO area. I pass the one on David Dr every week.

Bud's is in its own special class. Its not up there with the best burgers around, but it is miles ahead of the traditional fast food burgers.

NO - If you've never had Port-O-Call you've got to try it. Best burger I've ever had period! It's on Esplanade about a block from Bourbon.

BR - I never was able to find a burger in BR that blew me away. Some good places but nothing that stands out as great.

DFW - In Dallas I like Wingfield's. They did an article in D magazine and voted it best so I decided to try it. Very good burger but it's in a not so nice area of south Dallas. Ball's and The Anger Dog are also very good. In Ft Worth I really like Kincaid's.
