No offense taken, Dallas...but I am getting a little bit tired of people piling on just because I made an innocuous statement about an album I like. Almost makes me feel like I'm not entitled to my opinion just because nobody else shares it.
My new revised list after embarrassingly forgetting one very important group (my apologies to the band): The Beatles Yes The Moody Blues Led Zeppelin The Who Honorable Mention: Pink Floyd, Queen
Brits 1. Led Zepplin ( no brainer ) 2. Pink Floyd ( almost #1 ) 3. Black Sabbath or any group with the OZ man in it. 4. The beatles 5. Old JP ( preist for us metal heads ) if you've ever REALLy listened to some of KK downing and Glen tipton's guitar trade off's you'd be hooked. 6. maybe the who, it gets fuzzy after #5. I could easily put the Police here. American groups 1. Skynerd or ZZ top it's a toss up. 1 and a half= Stevie Ray Vaugh ( I dont care if he is an individual, he is amazing ) 2. Eagles 3. CCR 4. Bob Seger 5. 38. Special ( special forces is an all time great Cd ) 5 and a half. AeroSmith or Alice Cooper, maybe the Doors, 6 ? Boston, Tommy Bolin, Kiss, Van halen and Montrose. Ronnie Montrose may be a brit?? but sammy H is a American. Oh and we cant forget Nazerth, HEart, three doors down.... lots of good american groups. Canadian 1. BTO 2 Rush/ or Triumph 2 and a half. the guess who 3. Nickleback 4. ELO European 1. the Scorps ( Scorpions that is.....they'd be number one or two on any other list also, these guys kick it. ) 2. Micheal Shienker group MSG south of the border or wherever 1. Santana Bad Company belongs on that list somewhere but I have no clue where Paul Rodgers is from, brit maybe?
