memphis mac, chippewa at larkspur, by exxon. new BBQ place. i should get some sort of award for eating at a black owned business
well now i had more of the memphis mac and i dont like it anymore. its too smoky. i took home a rack of ribs and they are black with soot like they taste like a fireplace and like i ate ashes. i prefer whatever that place in port allen is called couvillions or couvin or whatever
Couyon's There used to be one on Burbank. Just OK. I was thinking about going to Memphis Mac's tomorrow but if you say it sucks now I won't
its kinda good if you like a smokey bbq thats insanely smokey. even stuff that isnt great is worth a try. plus the staff is a delight. its baton rouge, what else we gonna do besides try new places? not really much to do here
Bill Spoons closed today. Old college roomie went to get some and they had sold out. Not sure if it was the best BBQ in the state, but it was by far the best in Charlotte. And about the only place to get eastern NC style for about 100 miles. This place served three generations of my family and would have been four. We called for BBQ to feed visitors when my mom died. They said your order is much bigger today, why. They comped food for 20+. They did the same when my dad passed. They just don't make them like this anymore. https://www.charlotteagenda.com/231...ich-closes-for-good-wednesday-after-57-years/
