    I know. But why not analyze what you think instead of trying to tell me what I think. You can't possibly win. I am the worlds friggin' expert on what I think.

    You mock and jeer me for my Eagle Scout morality, but I am what I am. I'm a man of many virtues and many faults, but I am not a liar, a thief, greedy, or selfish. I really do care about things other than myself . . . other people, my country, my environment, and my species.

    How can you not? There is no honor in "every man for himself". Is personal integrity something you never think about?

    i am not analyzing just you, but the envirnmental monement in general, and AGW alarmism in particular.

    why? that dosent make any sense. if you are caring about these things because you like to have a clear conscience, then isnt that still about you?

    more than anyone. my conscience is crazy and i cant really mistreat anyone. but that really only applies to people i know. i dunno why i would care about my country or the species.

    I don't suffer these guilts that you seem to feel. I care about these things because I possess empathy, sympathy, and compassion. I realize that you do not grok these concepts and that is sad.

    I do not think so.

    I believe you are a man of character, but perhaps not a man of honor.

    See what I mean? When you rejected religion, you seem to have also rejected morality, compassion, and fraternal ethics.

    of course. my question to you once again, is why do you care about our species? especially a few generations from now? and if you really do, why is this a superior moral stance to not caring?

    I think our species is pretty neat and I would like to see it continue far past my time on the planet.

    Because it is unselfish.

    why is unselfishness good? its like you have never read any philosophy or really thought at all about morals.

    There is no point in discussing philosophy with you if you can only recite Rand. You do not have the capacity to understand virtues like compassion or honor apparently. You think selfishness is good, greed is good, and compassion is for fools, Gordon Gecko.
