Nobody seems to understand how that works with counting scholarships back to the last class. Basically, you should always assume they count towards this class. Anyway, it appears this article may have jumped the gun a little. Benton will hopefully be here soon, but I don't think it's definite yet.

I think the confusion here stems from the JUCO rules, which few people seem to know. JUCOs who qualify academically to enter school in the Spring can sign earlier than other recruits and can actually begin practicing with the team during bowl preparations. I think the rules are different for high school and prep school prospects. This is getting into the murkier recruiting rules that probably change frequently and can only really be well-understood by people who specialize in it, of whom I am not one. I think, though, that unless we get some first-hand information from people who've seen Benton in practice, we shouldn't believe it.

He was back at home in bastrop but didnt come to church Sun. I did talk to Mackey and was tryin to convince him to go to Hargrave and said that's high on his list b/c but some way he thinks he has a chance to get in at Miss.State and Croom talks to him alot but he would rather go to LSU or prep school and then weigh his options.
