A very ugly Saturday night of football is carrying over into Sunday. Saints just ran 4 plays inside the Cincy 2 yard line and came away with no points. Cincy is on the verge of responding with a 99-yard drive. We also forced a fumble at our goal line and failed to recover, giving Cincy a TD. And I thought Cincinnati was supposed to be below average against the run....but through a quarter and a half we're under 3 yards a carry, and we are definitely trying to run the ball. Brees not very sharp either.
Pitiful on both sides of the ball. Ravens/Bengals/Jets type defenses ALWAYS give us fit. Personally, I think we've become too predictable in the passing game. Ashame to say it, since Payton is supposedly an offensive guru, but it just looks like there's a lack of creativity in the plays. Kind of like another team I pull for.
