I love Karolyi's enthusiasm, and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone in Olympic gymnastics history with more credibility. I'm glad he had the guts to call it like he saw it. I thought the announcers were on the verge of calling the judges out during the women's individual all-arounds, but they backed off when Liuken got the score she deserved on the beam and took the lead.
If Bella gets that worked up over a tumbling pass, imagine what he would be like as a color man for LSU? Great call Tsnarl. Although I doubt his heart could take it.
he'd be more credible if he wasnt a former US coach. that and he's not against using young girls, he's just pissed that the US cant do it.
That doesn't make him a liar. Plus, he was also Romania's coach. Well that's the point now, isn't it? He has to follow the rules so why shouldn't China?
my point is that karolyi's point is just sour grapes. it would mean more if he werent an advocate for allowing 12 yr olds to compete. but i dont have a huge problem with him. the entire gymnastics boot-camp-life thing bothers me (shouldnt just pick on gymnastics i suppose. most olympic athletes probably had similar experiences growing up).
But his argument isn't about whether or not they should be allowed. He's complaining about them cheating.
That's just a repetition of your inital post with nothing of substance to refute my most astute counter points.
it would be a lot more interesting to hear what he has to say if i could understand a word he is saying.
oops, i quoted the wrong person. i meant it would be more interesting if i could understand a word bella crayola was saying. sorry, blonde moment.
