My belated congrats on a great win for your tigers Saturday night. My wife and I went to the game and came on down to Sandestin, Fla. Sunday for a few days at the beach so I havn't been on the computer.
We had our chances to win but our offense couldn't come thru when we really needed them to. They couldn't keep the D off the field long enought to rest and they were tired in the 4th. Ya'll took advantage of that with some power runs and took control. I'm glad there were no controversies for a change. Good luck the rest of the way. I hope you win the SEC and another glass egg.

    PT,

That's one classy post, by a great sport, and a friend of TF!

Since you were at the game, I know you ENJOYED it. When you guys went ahead at 6 min. left, I said it had been such a good game, if we lost, I still would have enjoyed the game. Scott running and a good second half by Lee, plus a special effort by our D, would have been enough for me. Being away from BR, I could have lived with the loss and smiled about it. No disgrace losing to a top 10 team.

Both D's were excellent! Our O line opened some holes for Scott, and our QB executed a little better the second half. Our D line made it hard on your QB to have time to find receivers and get set to throw.

It worked out we won. I think you can look at it like I did with 6 min. to go, and still have enjoyed another SEC classic shootout.

Thanks for stopping by. Good luck to you guys the rest of the way!

Thanks PT, it was a nail-biter as usual. AU has a great team and it could have gone either way. To me, it was one of the most exciting games in a long time! I wish you guys well the rest of the way!

Thanks all of you. It all kind of took a new twist for me today. As I relaxed on the beach, still disappointed in losing the game, I watched a little four year old girl at the water's edge with her mother and a dog. It seemed like a normal family scene. As it turns out the dog is a seeing eye dog and the pretty little girl is blind. When I realized this, a ton of emotions came on me. I thought how in the hell can I be disappointed in a dang football game when this little girl will never see the ocean, the waves, the blue sky, her dog......not even her Mother or the millions of other things we take for granted Someday I bet she would love to see a big football game and, if she had that opportunity, I bet she wouldn't care if her team won or lost and wouldn't whine about her coaches or players or how the refs called the game. At that moment, football took on a whole differerent perspective for me. I hope it's one I never lose. I don't think I will ever see another game that I don't think about this little girl.

I hope so, but I feel like for you that it will wear off by the Iron Bowl at the very latest. ;)

Congratulations on inventing the internet's first sure-fire way to avoid post-game-win smack talk. :thumb:

Seriously. I have to do the same thing with perspective when LSU loses.
Thankfully that hasn't happened much lately.:yelwink2:
