I think Alleva was a victim of politics last year. I think he tried to strongarm his way to Fisher as was outflanked. I think his future rests in this decision and I sure hope he nutts up and does what he thinks is best. If that's Eaux, saddle up. That said, he should have all his ducks in a row and I think his only saving grace is that there are a bunch of moving parts. But that should be factored into the equation. You can only use that excuse for failure so many times.
With an inept offense, going against what has been argued as one of Saban's best teams yet, LSU drops a 10-0 contest. I'd argue that with the right guy at the helm, we're just a step behind Bama and that ground can be made up quickly.
A hire like Fisher/Herman and you'll see this recruiting class just get better. Hell with a Fisher hire alone we'll see top ranked QB's giving LSU a serious look.
Oeaux won't be fired but he might leave on his own unless Aleva or Fisher makes him an offer he can't refuse. He is not going to be in demand for any of the top tier jobs that will be open but would Houston hire him to replace Herman? Would he take a job at USL or Western Michigan?
