Not true. I've been pretty happy this season (even after the UGA loss). Just seriously disappointed with this loss and again concerned about what this loss means for the program. With two losses we are effectively out of the NC conversation (especially with this defense). Next year we don't have a QB, so contending next year isn't a great bet. While a certain other team keeps chugging, new QB or not, young D or not.

If Ole Miss can beat LSU with a ton of backups, why can't LSU beat Ole Miss with consistent top 5 recruiting classes? One of the big arguments for Miles is that he doesn't lose many games he shouldn't, but this game was a kick in the nuts of that argument.

You say this happens at other schools, hell just yesterday there was an upset epidemic. That is a reality, but it is also a reality that we control our destiny for the most part. There aren't many schools that can beat LSU at their best. We could and should have beat Ole Miss yesterday. But we didn't. You say that's life, and it is, but there is a certain other program who's success is a reality too. If that other program can do it, why can't we? They aren't better than us.

We still got some big games left and we could still end up in a damn strong bowl, let's see if Miles has enough chest. I am curious, what would you consider to be a disappointment this year? We had tempered expectations before we realized LSU could play offense, I'd hope you reconsidered your expectations following that revelation. I'm reconsidering for the second time after fully realizing that it wasn't our D that stepped up against Florida.

I expect two more losses, which would be a disappointment but pragmatic. More than that would be a severe disappointment. Beating A&M would be mildly uplifting. Beating the aggies and Bama would make the season a success. Pragmatically, I don't see it.

The Dolphins have posted 311 losses. Nobody wins them all.

When it happens the first time or two its on Chavis. However, if it continues it falls on Miles as the HC. Miles has his own end of halves/games screw ups every game. Can you honestly tell me that should be accepted? Miles is paid very well, there is no excuse for that.

I agree the team is young and inexperienced, still we should have some improvement by now. The tackling is the worst Ive seen. Most players look lost out there. Not to mention many times we getting killed by Barrow or Alexander being lined up on a WR.

I dont think Im asking for too much, I just want to see improvements in the aforementioned areas. Its far beyond wins and losses.

Id like to add that I really respect you StaceyO, you dont resort to belittling or cursing those who disagree like many others do. Ultimately we have differing opinions. We all love LSU and are very passionate about the games. Just quit making the same mistakes game after game and show improvement.

Nothing wrong with disappointment. Just try not to let the Chicken Little syndrome overtake your pragmatism. The sky ain't falling.

You should try balancing your pragmatism with passion. :p

That question is impossible to answer.

I can say without reservation that LSU Football has never had a run of success like this. Les Miles has an .804 winning percentage. Top ten recruiting classes every year. A team that contends every year. Sending boatloads of players to the NFL. Second to Vandy in graduation rate.

Look at USC, Texas, Nebraska, Tennessee, Florida and tell me that it's easy to keep a keep things going at a high level.

Prior to 2003, LSU Football was considered a second-tier program that nobody expected much from. 30-point losses to Florida were an expectation.

Last night's loss is tough. But I'll stick with the guy who has an eight-year history of keeping my team competitive and nationally relevant.

So...the last NFL team to go undefeated was when I was two. Got it. Winning them all happens all the time?

Like I said. miles is "content" with 10 wins.

Do t blame the fans for expecting NCs when that is what LSU was built to expect by people like Miles.

You cannot raise the bar and expect anything less.

10 wins is gravy, but we cannot consider ourselves elite if we don't expect to be the best.

It's a mental way of thinking I don't think Miles has anymore.

No, he isn't. He is like every football coach -- he wants to win every game he plays.
