One of my former graduate students is now a S&C coach at TCU and works with several sports, including Football. I have seen what they have going on from a conditioning perspective as well as their lifting program. They definitely do some good things, and some that are not as good, but overall their athletes are well conditioned. I have had zero exposure to Oklahoma's program, so I cannot comment on what they do. I do know that Saban tried hard to get Moffitt to come with him as I was in Moffitt's office when he called. In addition, I know that he, Fisher, Muschamp, etc. all called Moffitt when they got their HC positions, and all of them hired former LSU assistants who worked with Moffitt. Vic Viloria at FSU makes no secret of the fact that he runs a very similar program to what Moffitt does at LSU and the lifting program which came from Gayle Hatch, is pretty much identical.
He was pretty open about wanting his family to get "taken care of". It wasn't publicized at the time that I am aware of.
I guess Bush wasn't the only one ole Petey paid for. Too bad for them that McKnight never lived up to the hype.
I don't pretend to know what happened with McKnight at USCw, but from appearances I would have to agree with you.
Me either, other than what I've read about what went on under Carroll's regime, but if one player/player's family got improper benefits, it's not a stretch to think others did as well.
