No one wants Fisher. The only cartwheels being turned over him are by the the BoS. Do you know anything about Les Miles? He's as stubborn as they come. He's had ample opportunity, YEARS, to do this and he hasn't so far. This is not going to happen or it would have by now. Just another head scratching decision by the one and only.
I appreciate your perspective, and with you living out of state (as do I), our perspectives may be a bit different than if we still lived here. I don't know. It makes me sad that it is going down like this, whether it is time or not. He is a quality man, and there have been some really fun times under Miles. Maybe it's time to part ways, but the way it's happening stinks.
Some don't want Fisher but it's hardly overwhelming. He is probably the best available choice who wouldn't be a gamble like hiring a young upcoming coach. My second choice would be Herman but even though his resume as an assistant is impressive he isonly into his first season as a head coach. I see that Houston is a home dog to Navy Saturday
Fisher is definitely the safest pick but he did knowingly allow a rapist to qb his team to a championship.
I would kiss the ground if Fisher is the replacement. Develops QB's better than anyone else. Plans the offense around the QB's talent. His character is not the same, but I will let this slide.
Fisher player discipline is terrible. If LSU lets Miles go and i'm assuming he will might as well get a young energetic coach with a future for staying in Baton Rouge a long time.
I agree with this also about Fisher. Be careful what you wish for. He could just as easily bring the entire program down.
