Re: Beckwith, our Middle LB, is out for the Auburn game. I've heard that, and it makes me like Cutrera being that we trust him as our immediate back-up at all three LB positions... but are we going to put him at MLB or at one of the other two LB positions and roll one of the other two starting LBs over to MLB? To me, our LB core isn't our strong point here at LSU when compared to our DL or Secondary.

Re: Beckwith, our Middle LB, is out for the Auburn game. Cutrera is expected to take over the MLB spot until Beckwith returns - perhaps in time for the Florida game.
Wasn't it Cutrera who had the No. TX RB in the backfield for a loss, but let him slip out and go for a long run - I think it was late in the 2nd half, if my ol' memory serves me right? It was a play I thought Beckwith would have made, and Cutrera will need to make against AUB, so this concerns me a bit. However, this is an opportunity for Cutrera to step up, as others have done in the past when pressed! Someone listed JC as a #3 rated recruit out of HS; as we all know, there is a significant precedent for lower rated players to become playmakers.
