And yet he still managed to fumble a punt from UGA two-handed, which cost us the game. They showed some of his college highlights on MNF last night, and I forgot how damn explosive he is in the open field. He is a complete freak of nature.
@islstl The disappointing thing is that neither broadcast crew noticed he did it. The director could have thrown up a replay and said,"Verne, Gary, did you notice what he just did?"
He had 2 fumbles in his career that essentially lost LSU 2 critical games in those seasons, 2012 UF, 2013 UGA. Jarvis had better highlight catches IMO but Beckham damn sure was more explosive. That catch and run against UK in 2011 was insanity. Btw Jarvis' 1 handed grab against Arkansas in the Anthony Jennings game was one of the greatest catches I've ever seen, and the one against Arkansas the year before for the TD was up there as well.
That is the play where Mett tore his ACL and yes, I think it is the best catch I have ever seen. Between 2 defenders, diving, just reaches out. I was like the announce team, thought it was incomplete. I still have no idea how he got that ball.
How do you dive between 2 defenders and 1 handed snag an underthrown ball with your left hand when you are right handed. Just unbelievable.
I just wish I could remember so much detail of games the way some of you do. I can't remember much from last week, much less plays from a year ago.
That play happened on the end of the field where we were at the game. We were busy celebrating the catch, then everyone noticed Mett down on the other end of the field. The Treadwell play reminded me of that Saturday night, where the crowd thought they had a touchdown, then noticed their WR was injured--only to also find out he'd fumbled the ball.
Yep. This is unfortunately correct. Yeah, he reversed the entire fuckin' field. Started on the left sideline, scored on the right. You just can't do that against a D-IA defense. Yes, indeed. Two of the greatest catches I've ever seen from a Tiger, both vs Arky. Jarvis had vacuum hands. If the ball got anywhere close, it wasn't leaving his hand.
