Because sissies headbut other players when those players insult family members? Sissies go cry in the corner.. :sob:
I can't speak for everybody, but here's a brief list of things I don't like about suck: 1 -- Field is too big 2 -- Don't get the "rhythm" as I do with baseball 3 -- No scoring 4 -- Played by bad acting sissies 5 -- Don't like foot-based sport 6 -- Boring 7 -- Goofy players 8 -- Worse fans 9 -- No overwhelming physical skill other than endurance or a big leg 10 -- Bottom line is that it just soccers very, very badly
I am not a huge soccer fan, but I will likely go see Beckham and Posh Spice when they play here in Frisco against FCD
Soccer beats football. Want to know why? COMMERCIALS! Watch the World Cup and tell me how many commercials you see. (I don't really think soccer beats football) (I mean Americna football)
Well I think the signing of Beckham is a VERY smart move for the MLS. David Beckham is damn near the most recognizable athlete in THE WORLD, not to mention THE best known soccer player. What does that do to a sport that severely lacks respect or attention in America? It creates hype. After USA's showing in the World Cup, a lot of people really got into soccer, but the main reason why it doesn't catch on is the lack of publicity for Major League Soccer. Beckham is already creating a buzz in America, and you're damn right, I am on the bandwagon! Soccer is awesome.
It's a relatively simple game to learn, but really difficult to master. Pair that along with the fact that the game requires little more than a ball and you can see why it's so popular--especially in really poor areas of the world. I think it's exciting, but you need to understand the game. Anyone who says that soccer is boring, but baseball isn't, needs some help. For the record, baseball is my favorite sport.
