Just some numbers to pass the time from my data base... run during working hours by my overpaid, underworked staff:shock:. I know beating both Georgia and Florida might be a tall task this year... but... if you do.... you'll have an even or winning record against every school in the SEC during the 2000-2009 decade. Pretty impressive.... wonder if that's ever happened in LSU lore?? In-conference record since 2000: Florida 56-19 Georgia 53-22 LSU 53-23 Auburn 50-24 Tennessee 47-28 Alabama 38-35 S Carolina 34-38 Arkansas 34-40 Ole Miss 29-43 Kentucky 17-55 Miss State 17-55 Vandy 13-59 LSU Record versus each SEC school since 2000: Miss State 9-0 S Carolina 4-0 Vandy 2-0 Kentucky 4-1 Ole Miss 7-2 Bama 7-2 Tennessee 4-2 Arkansas 5-4 Auburn 5-4 Florida 4-5 Georgia 2-3 I'll be watching and rooting for you to pull it off!!!!
Both games are tough, but I think LSU has a better than 50% chance of winning either one. We have the talent players and an audacious head coach. Success depends an awful lot on Chavis, Crowton, and whoever can fix the mediocrity that is our special teams.
We have the talent to win them both, but the top schools in the SEC are so talented and for the most part so deep, you never know on any given game day. So much will depend on coaching, plays and the players experience and the all the players coming together as a team. Both games should be very good. ldskule:
I was going to say the same thing. Ole Nutt just seemed to have our number for a less talented team. Counting the Ole Miss loss last year, I think we're only 1-3 against him in the last 4.
This year we even the score against UGA and UF. As well as put Bama, Arky, and Ole Piss back in their place.
