I heard on Atlanta sports radio (here again this week) about a sign that is pictured on the Internet. Apparently a bears fan had at the game a sign that read "Bears are going to finish what Katrina Started" The atlanta talk show hosts were just ripping on it, yet I have yet to see any proof said sign exists. has anyone heard of this and if it is true how come there is not a larger outcry.
Dont know about that but I was listening to wwl last night after the game and there were a few fans calling in from chicago saying that a few bears fans were making comments about katrina and such
Well...here's your proof... :dis: http://deadspin.com/sports/nfl/rex-...ithout-the-sunglasses-and-headband-230337.php after watching both of my teams bow out of the playoffs last night, I really didn't care who won the Super Bowl....but now, I pray it's not Chicago.
Unbelievable... Just shocked. I am sure all the bear fans around him were saying "Nice Job" I only hope someone said something.
Another story missed in this game was the fact that Lovie Smith had a win at all costs mentality with keeping Tank Johnson on this team for the playoffs. No way he is on the Saints team with Payton at the helm. To each their own. The dude is a straight up convict.
My sister in law, a NOLA native and Chicago resident, was so offended at the sign, and the way her and some friends from NOLA were treated because of their Saints attire, she e-mailed me and is seriously considering moving out of Chicago. Honestly, she was already considering a move back home, but this cemented it. She is only there for work, and her job is not exclusive to Chicago. She was really offended, as was I.
on the saints message board that i visit, there is a 20+ page about the sign. some bears fans are defending the sign.??? http://www.saintsreport.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17430
I was at the game with my Saints jersey on and heard quite a few things Katrina related...Quite ridiculous actually..
