:geaux::crystal::helmet: The rumor is that Chavis has been contacted, but nothing concrete that I can find. I hope he has been offered and I hope he accepts. Soon! The longer this goes on with no news coming out, the less I like it. Gives me the feeling that no change will be made, which would be criminal based on what we just saw of the defense this past season. Filling the DC slot is critical to salvaging a lot of this years recruiting class, and possibly CLM's future, IMO. As far as CLM, I read somewhere that he was recruiting in Shreveport last night and will be in Houston today. Guess the whole staff is out on the recruiting trail. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:
I am pretty sure his time is being consumed by this issue of hiring a new DC and whatever other coaches he is trying to replace
haha, didnt notice that. Perhaps he can recruit at five different places at one time too ? I'm not pushing for just Harbison, but I would like a younger guy. Updated resume'. :geaux::crystal::helmet: Are you surprised that a decision has not been made on DC yet? I really thought CLM would act quickly with Chavis available. Also, are you concerned that the longer this goes on with nothing happening that no changes will be made, or that Mallory will be allowed to assume duties as sole DC? :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:
yeah, but i think he has to have some kind of say in it. i don't think Les has a rolodex with all the available coaches, i would think he'd work with the ath dept to find someone suitable. maybe i'm wrong. maybe les does it all, like call agents and schedule interviews. "hey this is les, i'm looking forward to the opportunity to interview you for this football team. this football team is looking for a quality DC who can come in and help this football team prepare for victory. we're lookin to be damn strong again."
