Boise State is doing more with 2 and 3 star kids than anyone else in the country (besides maybe TCU) is even REMOTELY doing. Peterson gets a lot of credit for that. The fact remains, though - they would be Mississippi State or less in the SEC. It's not hard to average 50 points when you play the schedule they play. They might be able to surprise one top tier SEC team a year - they would get crushed running the gauntlet, though.
Im pretty much done with Miles as a coach. Id love Peterson here. That said, he is no guarantee to win at this meteoric pace just based on what he does at Boise. You cant do that in the SEC on yearly basis. UF and Bama recruit just as well as we do. Its not all based on talent or coaching for that matter. What Peterson does so well is recruit under the radar kids he coaches up in four years. Kids that fit his system. I think he could be a major success at LSU but you wont dominate like you do at Boise. Im not delusional in that regard.
