At least they don't come to Baton Rouge. Judging by TF we are cupcake city.

Given the BCS system is based on who can promote the best propaganda, why is Boise State's worse than anyone else's?

Until there's a playoff of sorts, the Boise State's and the Utah's are the best thing that could happen in college football.

And until Ole Miss can beat a Jacksonville State, Tennessee can beat a Wyoming, Iowa can beat a Western Michigan, Bama can beat a UL-Monroe... and we can all do it with the literal ease expected... the hype that we are just so much better and so much tougher than a Boise State or Utah is probably the most ridiculous propaganda of all.

I fully agree. Boise State won't take some "deserving" teams' spot in the BCS.They are just as deserving. They are stuck in a "weak" conference so they do the only thing they can do: Win every game they play. Why shouldn't they have a shot? I wouldn't want LSU to play them next week.

OK, lets break it some more, so we can fix it. That's a lot of fun until a deserving one loss Iowa team sits at home this year and watches Boise St. play Bama in the big one. The BCS conferences are no longer amused with the antics of BS, no kidding.

Last year Bama beat VaTech in the opener. If we played that sissified schedule the rest of the way, this forum and every other BCS forum, would have all spontaneously combusted. Why is the argument something about their football ability? It's about the schedule they play, period.

I don't think BS is getting us any closer to a playoff. But if I'm wrong, please let the odd man out be Iowa, you obviously have a much more understanding and tolerant attitude about the whole situation.

That's funny.... "a deserving one loss Iowa team".... in the world of propaganda THAT IS college football, there is no such thing as a deserving one loss Iowa team. We already know we would have to run the table to get to the big game.

What is it about the media and it's "darlings" that you don't understand??

It all comes down to your personal definition of "national champion".

Is it the most deserving team, or the best team?

Boise St can make a legitimate, serious claim at being the best team. They still haven't proven they are the most deserving team.

You're right, I didn't buy it when I wrote it. Just trying to get you to see one man's entertainment is another one's tragedy.

No mystery about the media and we all know a beauty contest when we see it. So, let me be a bit more realistic in my analogy. While we're waiting on this playoff, I wouldn't be amused with a ONE loss Alabama team watching BS and Ohio St. go at it.

What would also be interesting is if(hopefully not) West Virginia went undefeated. Cincinnati last year got destroyed by Florida(although Kelly not being there probably made a difference). If West Virginia were to win @LSU that would give them a really legit win over an SEC team.

Undefeated West Virginia, undefeated Boise St., and 1 loss everyone else.

Imagine the confusion and arguments that would start.

Ok, then TCU beat Oregon State, what about them?

It's Deja vu all over again.

We pair Boise St. and TCU in a meaningless BCS bowl and make it sound really important. By the time they're through playing each other, it won't occur to them the season is over.

    Worked last time.
