Once it comes out in mid October, Boise St. will be sitting there undefeated (they are easily projected to go 12-0 now after the VaTech win).

The problem is the coaches spoke and said this team is the 5th best team before a single play of the college football season. Harris poll won't be published for a while. Now that they beat a top 10 team on a neutral field, they will be forced to move them even higher, most likely top 3 (Florida WILL drop and they will jump Texas).

Now they have to deal with that.

When 2 teams from BCS conferences come along and are undefeated (e.g., Oklahoma and Miami), how are the voters going to find a way to jump these teams over an undefeated Boise State at some point? It will happen.

If Boise State thought they were left out in the cold last year, this year will have an even wilder ending to the horror movie.

There will be no issue at the end of the year. Boise St will be in the BCS Title game. Mark it down. The only thing left to do now is see who their opponent is going to be.

Boise State will lose steam at the end of the season. When a 3rd ranked Miami is beating a 9th ranked Vtech in the ACC title game and Boise beats SW Missouri State by 40 the same weekend, the voters will jump Miami over Boise State.

It will happen but the chances of more than one BCS school going undefeated is less than Boise going undefeated. The only thing that would keep Boise in the hunt if more than one BCS school goes undefeated is if they romp over everyone left on their schedule including a huge victory against Oregon St. If that happens it will be much more difficult to jump them.

Boise State's computer polls will hurt them in the end as well.

They will just have to pray that there aren't 2 undefeated BCS schools at year's end.

And, its not even like Oregon State is that good. I've got a lot for what Mike Reily has done at that school with all those limitations. (He was SC's first choice to be their football coach before they ended up with Carroll). But, what is Oregon State, the third or fourth best team in the Pac-10?

Boise State shouldn't be allowed in the title game, not until they start playing a harder schedule. I know no one wants to schedule them, but I think they have a really unfair advantage. Herbie said something last night that really made sense to me for once, Boise State can beat any team on a neutral field on any given night. But if they had a grueling schedule like a team from the SEC, would they be in the conversation? In my mind i say no they couldn't.

If VT had run the ball on 3rd and 8 with 2 minutes left, clock running and BSU out of timeouts, Boise State would be 0-1 today.

I also think they would not finish undefeated in the SEC.

However 1 loss would be entirely possible. 1/2 of their games would be @Boise, and I don't see an SEC team defeating them when the weather is cold/icy/sloppy.

Poor VaTech, always a bridesmaid. But I regress. So the Turky's continue to play to their namesake on the big stage. VaTech came out in that first quarter like so many very good BCS teams do, end result, how does 20 points back sound?

Now for the REST of the season we get to hear this ridiculous propaganda. I thought Brent Muss-burger was going to climax when Boise State took the big lead So here we go, thanks for nothing VaTech.

    Remaining Schedule for BS
    Wyoming
    Oregon St. Home game
    New Mexico St.
Toledo. Watched them lose just the other night.
San Jose St. Bama can send film.
    Louisiana Tech
    Hawaii. Talk to USC
    Idaho somewhere in Idaho
    Fresno St. Home game.
    Nevada
    Utah St.
Boise St. football, a place where the preseason never ends
