Yeah, thats the only team that would concern me a little but I would think LSU would get the votes over them. If not I'll be ok with spoiling Bama's hopes!:thumb:
I don't see how an undefeated Big 10 team will not finish of a 1-loss SEC team, specially when they won at PSU and would have to win at OSU. That would be tough to overcome for LSU. I see Iowa losing against OSU regardless.
Yes, I just commented about that in the Coaches ranking thread I just started. Iowa would jump back ahead of us in the BCS with a win over tOSU and would be hard pressed to pass up for the BCS title game if they go undefeated. I think it's a moot point, as Iowa is way too weak a team to go undefeated. I don't trust them to get past NW next week. Those Big 10 officials are going to make it difficult for anyone to beat Iowa though, after what I witnessed today vs Indiana.
You may be right. I just think if LSU beat the #3 and #1 after losing to #1 earlier, combined with the fact that most of Iowa's wins have been UGLY, it may be close. But then LSU has had an ugly win or two also. I think they lose to OSU also, its all ifs for now anyway. Honestly if we beat bama I won't worry about the rest.:geauxtige:tigereye:
And you just presented LSU's argument right on the button. The only team we lost to we would have beaten. I think it will be critical for LSU that both Bama and Florida have only the 1 loss to LSU, in that case. Then we have 2 top 10 wins in the computer polls and our loss will be the best type of loss (a very high ranked team, probably still top 5).
Sadly for Oregon they have basically no chance at all to make it to the BCS CG. Boise State will go undefeated and nobody in their right mind can place Oregon above Boise State in their poll. Boise State's computer polls will be better than Oregon's in the end. So Oregon has to hope for a loss by Texas somewhere along the line, again not likely. And then they still would need Iowa and Cincy to lose and possibly even TCU.
True dat. I thought that the SEC officiating crew that had been suspended found some work moonlighting in the Big 10.
I will say this... there were two highly questionable calls. On the first one (foot down, back of endzone), Indiana went on to score anyway. The second one (whether he got his foot down in the corner)... a very tough call to overturn, shouldn't have been overturned, but it was... and Indiana then missed a chip shot field goal. Having watched all the gifts over the years when Penn State, Michigan or Ohio State "needed" a win, I'm just proud to know Iowa's new-found status is paying off. Therefore, watch you backs at Bama. I don't think refs are, by nature, crooked. But they are certainly human... and know which team is the favorite. Be nice to us farmboys... getting a favorable call is new to us.
I LOVE the enthusiasm, but it's a bit early to worry about it all...LOL. I WILL say this...LSU MIGHT end the season with one loss, but it still will have beaten every team it had played AND have the same win total as an undefeatd Iowa. But in reality, it won't matter. ANY undefeated BCS school will get preference over a one-loss team no matter the conference. That's just the nature of the system. :dis:
